As conchas do Speedster são feitas de nylon reforçado com fibra de vidro (GRN) resistente e podem ser montadas/desmontadas sem a necessidade de ferramentas. A tampa segura com mola é feita de polipropileno fosco e pode ser confortavelmente aberta e fechada em todas as condições climatéricas.
As suas características internas continuam o princípio de construção sem ferramentas; toda as peças podem ser facilmente removidas e as quatro pilhas AA de 1,5v podem ser rapidamente inseridas ou substituídas.
O controlo da alimentação de tinta é a unidade de barreira luminosa contida no Speedster, que é protegida da humidade e da sujidade.
